womenweredesperatetofindwaystofeedtheirfamilies.Havingstudiedembroideryherself,

shehopedthatpassingonthatknowledgetolocalwomenwouldhelpempowerthem.

Fromhumblebeginnings*moreandmorewomenheardabouttheprojectthroughword

ofmouth.Now,over150womenarepartoftheproject.Sellingtheirworksprovidesasource

ofincome,buttheprojecthasalsocreatedasupportsystemforthewomen.

Initially,thewomenstartedoutsimplycreatingcushions(坐墊)andsmallhandbagsto

selltotourists.Eventually,theystartedreceivingtasksforlargerpieces.Theyweregiven
