Thefollowingprocedureassumesthatthecoreprocessorisattachedtothesensor.Tomountthetransmitterapartfromthesensorandcoreprocessorassembly:

1.RefertothecomponentsinFigure1-1andFigure1-2,page5.

2.Removethejunctionend-capfromthejunctionhousing(seeFigure1-2,page5).

3.Ifdesired,re-orientthetransmitteronthebracket:

a.Usinga4mmhexkey,looseneachofthefourcapscrewsinthejunctionhousingthreeorfourturns(seeFigure1-2,page5).

b.Rotatethebracketsothetransmitterisorientedasdesired.

c.Tightenthecapscrews,torquingto30-38in-lbf(3-4N-m).

4.Securelymountthebracketandtransmittertoapaneloraninstrumentpole.

5.Useoneofthesemethodstoshieldthewiringfromthecoreprocessortothetransmitter:

a.Connectthedrainwirestothegroundscrewsinthejunctionhousingandcoreprocessor,or

b.Ifwiringisinmetallicconduit,makesuretheconduitprovides360°terminationshieldingfortheenclosedwiring.

6.Connectwiringfromthecoreprocessoronthesensortothetransmitter.

a.Preparewiringforconnectionbycuttingbacksheathingandstrippingwireends.Ifyouareusingshieldedwiring,unwinddrainwiresbacktosheathingandtwisttheendstogetherforgrounding.

b.Pullthematingconnectoroutofthejunctionhousing.

c.Passthecableendthroughtheconduitopeninginthejunctionhousing.

d.Connectthefourwirestothenumberedslotsonthematingconnector,matchingcorrespondingnumberedterminalsonthecoreprocessor.

e.Plugthematingconnectorintothesocketinthejunctionhousing.

f.Ifyouareusingcableshieldsforgrounding,connecttheshieldwireendstothegroundscrew(seeFigure1-3,page5).

7.Reattachthejunctionend-cap,tighteninguntilO-ringseats.

Thefollowingprocedureassumesthatthecoreprocessorisattachedtothetransmitter.Tomountthetransmitterandcoreprocessorassemblyremotelyfromthesensor:

1.Attachthemountingbrackettoaninstrumentpoleorwall.

2.Removethelowerconduitringandtheend-capfromthebottomofthetransmitterandcoreprocessorassembly(seeFigure1-6).

3.Placethetransmitterandcoreprocessorassemblyontothemountingbracket.

4.Replacethelowerconduitring,clampingthemountingbracketbetweenthecoreprocessorandtheconduitringasshowninFigure1-1,page3.

5.ConnectthetransmitterendofaMicroMotion9-wireflowmetercabletotheundersideofthecoreprocessor.Refertothemanualshippedwiththecableforflowmetercablepreparationandwiringinstructions.

6.Replacetheendcapontheconduitring.

1.Removetheend-capclampbyremovingthecapscrew.SeeFigure1-12.

2.Turnthedisplaycovercounterclockwisetoremoveitfromthemainenclosure.

3.Carefullyloosen(andremoveifnecessary)thesemicaptivedisplayscrewswhileholdingthedisplaymoduleinplace.

4.Carefullypullthedisplaymoduleoutofthemainenclosureuntilthesub-bezelpinterminalsaredisengagedfromthedisplaymodule.

5.Rotatethedisplaymoduletothedesiredposition.

6.Insertthesub-bezelpinterminalsintothedisplaymodulepinholestosecurethedisplayinitsnewposition.

7.Ifyouhaveremovedthedisplayscrews,thenreinsertandtightenthem.

8.Placethedisplaycoverontothemainenclosure.Turnthedisplaycoverclockwiseuntilitissnug.

9.Replacetheend-capclampbyreinsertingandtighteningthecapscrew.
