closeddoor,theraysstillseemedtoaffectit.Thescreenshowedthattherays

couldpassnotonlythroughtheblackpaperbutalsothroughwood.

Thenextthinghefoundoutwasthatifheputhishandsbetweentherays

andaphotographicplate,therayswouldprintashadowofthebone

frameworkofhishandsontheplate.Infact,therayscouldpassaseasily

throughthefleshy(肉的)partofhishandasthroughtheblackpaper,but

hardlyatallthroughthebone.SoRoentgenmadethefirstX-raypictureofa

handshowingjusthowthebonesinthehandfittedtogether.
