Cusco,Lima,andTrujilloalsobenefitfromthesemedicalmissions.Allthevolunteersdonatetheir

owntimeandservices.Themissionisorganizedfortwoweeks,onceortwiceayear.Volunteers

areencouragedtostayaslongaspossible.Abancayisabeautifultown,7,000feetabovesealevel

withapopulationof80,000people.

Thisfirstweek,thereare19otherpeoplewhovolunteeredtohelpthoselessfortunate.Many

ofthevolunteersstayedinthesamehoteltogetherandmanywerepaireduptohavearoommate.

Onthefirstnight,themayorwelcomedeveryoneasthehighschoolchildrenperformedadanceof

localcustom.
