Theydecidedtotakemattersintotheirownhandsandfindasolutiontothestickyproblem.Initially,theymade

somespeeches,distributedleafletsandvolunteeredtorelievethetrafficcongestion(擁堵),tryingtopersuadesome

parentstoparktheircarsalittlefartherawaytheschoolandnottousecarstoooften.Buttwoweekspassed,there

wasnothingbetter.Thentheyrealizeditwasnoeasyworktodealwiththetrouble.Theyneededmorehandsforhelp

andawell-thought-outplanforit.

Theyfirstgatheredtenschoolmateswhosharedthesameambition.Thentheystartedtoconductathorough

surveytounderstandtherootcausesofthetrafficcongestion.Theyinterviewedstudents,teachers,andparents,as

wellasobservedthetrafficpatternsduringdifferenttimesoftheday.Theylearnedthatthemajorityofthecongestion

wascausedbyparentsdroppingoffandpickinguptheirchildren,aswellasthelackofsufficientparkingspaces.

Armedwiththisinformation,theteamdesignedadetailedplan.Theyproposedthecreationofacarpoolsystem

forstudents,encouragingthemtoshareridestoreducethenumberofvehiclesontheroad.Theyalsosuggested

dedicateddrop-offandpick-upzones,clearlymarkedwithsignage,tohelpstreamlinetheprocess.

Tofurtherreducecongestion,theyadvocatedfortheconstructionofbikeracks(架子)andencouragestudents

tocycletoschool.Theyevenproposedarewardssystemforthosewhochosesustainablemodesoftransportation.
