Idisagreeonalotofthewaysthatthingshavehappenedforalongtimeinour

educationalsystem.Itseemsthateducatorsjustwanttogive

whichfocusonlyonacademicperformanceandneglectstudents'abilitiesand

interestinotherareas.Ithinkthere'realotofpeoplewhoareveryintelligent,

but

haven'thadtheopportunitiestheycouldhavehadiftheyhadlearnedina

broader-mindededucationalsystems.Ifeelthatalotofcoursesthatstudentsare

requiredto

takeinhighschoolaretooacademic,and,asaresult,manykidshavelosttheir

interestinlearning.

Educatorsoftenfailtorecognizevariouskindsofintelligence.Theysimplyexert

alotofpressureonstudentstobeaswell-roundedaspossible.Ithinkbeing

well-roundedisn'treallypossible.AndasaconsequencesomestudentsIbelieveto

be

intelligentcan'tgetintogoodcollegesifthey,youknow,haven'tscoredwellon

the

Anotherthingthatdisturbsmeisthattheso-calledweakstudentsareseparated
