形容詞，副詞比較級和最高級的概念。形容詞和副詞可以靠改變形式來表示程度的不同。我們把這種變化形式叫做比較等級。要比較兩個或兩個以上的人或物時，就必須用形容詞的比較級和最高級。形容詞、副詞有三個級：原級(PositiveDegree)，比較級(ComparativeDegree)和最高級(SuperlativeDegree)。

形容詞比較級和最高級的構(gòu)成。①單音節(jié)和少數(shù)雙音節(jié)形容詞、副詞的規(guī)則變化情況：a.

在原級的詞尾加-er變?yōu)楸容^級，加-est變?yōu)樽罡呒?。e.g.

short(原級)shorter(比較級)shortest(最高級)

long(原級)longer(比較級)longest(最高級)

b.

如原級以e結(jié)尾，則比較級只加-r，最高級只加-st。e.g.

c.

如原級以“輔音字母+y”結(jié)尾，要將y改為i，再加-er，-est。e.g.

原級以重讀閉音節(jié)結(jié)尾，而且末尾只有一個輔音字母(不含字母組合er等)，要雙寫這個輔音字母，再加-er，-est。e.g.

②大多數(shù)雙音節(jié)和多音節(jié)形容詞、副詞的規(guī)則變化，是在原級前加more變成比較級，加most變成最高級。e.g.

③有少數(shù)形容詞,副詞的比較級和最高級是不規(guī)則的。這些單詞的變法需要大家識記。e.g.

farfurther進(jìn)一步furthest最深(指程度)

形容詞比較級的用法和相關(guān)句型。①表示兩者“相等”用“as+形容詞原級+as+比較對象”。e.g.
