Dearleadersandcolleagues,

Itismygreathonortosubmitmyteachingreportforthepastacademicyear.AsanEnglishteacherattheprimaryschoollevel,Ihavedevotedmyselftotheteachingandlearningofchildrenaged7-12.Thisreportaimstoreviewmyteachingwork,assesstheachievedoutcomes,andoutlinefutureplansforimprovement.

TeachingObjectives

InaccordancewiththenationalEnglishcurriculum,Idesignedmyteachingprogramandsetthefollowingobjectivesformystudents:

TodevelopcommunicativecompetenceinEnglish,includinglistening,speaking,readingandwritingskills.

TogainabasicunderstandingofEnglishgrammar,vocabularyandpronunciation.

TocultivateinterestandconfidenceinlearningEnglish,anddevelopapositiveattitudetowardsforeignlanguagesandcultures.

Topromotecollaborativeandindependentlearning,andenhancelogicalandcriticalthinkingabilities.

TeachingApproachesandStrategies

Inordertoachievetheseobjectives,Ihaveappliedavarietyofteachingapproachesandstrategiesinmyclassroom,suchas:

Communicativelanguageteaching:IhavefocusedonprovidingstudentswithopportunitiestouseEnglishinmeaningfulandrealisticsituations,suchasrole-plays,interviews,games,anddiscussions.ThishashelpedthemtodeveloptheirfluencyandaccuracyinEnglish,aswellascontextualknowledgeandculturalawareness.

Task-basedlearning:Ihavedesigneddifferenttasksandprojectsthatrequirestudentstoapplyandintegratetheirlanguageskillsandknowledgetoaccomplishspecificobjectives,suchasmakingabrochureaboutacity,creatingastorybook,organizingaclassparty,andpresentingaspeech.Thishasstimulatedtheircreativity,curiosity,andcooperation.

Audio-visualaids:Ihaveutilizedvariousaudio-visualaids,suchasvideos,songs,pictures,andposters,toenhancestudents'interestsandmotivation,andtoprovidethemwithauthenticandinterestinginputandoutputfortheirlanguagelearning.Thishasalsofacilitatedtheirlearningofpronunciation,intonation,andvocabulary.

Individualizedinstruction:Ihavepaidattentiontotheindividualdifferencesinstudents'learningstyles,preferences,andneeds,andprovidedthemwithpersonalizedfeedback,guidance,andchallenges,throughactivitiessuchasself-assessment,peer-evaluation,andgoal-setting.Thishashelpedstudentstodeveloptheirautonomyandresponsibilityfortheirownlearning.

TeachingOutcomes

Basedonmyobservation,assessment,andfeedbackfromstudents,parents,andcolleagues,Iampleasedtosharesomeoftheachievementsofmyteachingwork:

Students'academicperformanceinEnglishhassignificantlyimproved,asevidencedbytheirscoresinclasstestsandexams.Theaveragescoreoftheclasshasincreasedfrom75to85,andthegapbetweenhighachieversandlowachievershasnarrowed.

Students'communicativecompetenceinEnglishhasgreatlyenhanced,asshownbytheiroralpresentations,dialogues,andcreativewriting.Theycanexpressthemselvesfluentlyandaccurately,andhaveagoodcommandofbasicgrammarandvocabulary.TheyarealsomoreconfidentandenthusiasticaboutusingEnglishinandoutsideclass.

Students'attitudestowardEnglishlearninghaveundergonepositivechanges,intermsoftheirmotivation,interestsandlearningstrategies.Theyhavebecomemoreactiveandindependentintheirlearning,andmoreawareoftheimportanceandrelevanceofEnglishtotheirfuturecareersandpersonaldevelopment.

Students'socialandemotionalskillshavebeendevelopedthroughtheirparticipationinteam-buildingactivities,project-basedlearning,andpeerfeedback.Theyhavelearnedtorespectandappreciateothers'opinionsandperspectives,andtoworkcollaborativelyandcreativelytosolveproblemsandachievegoals.

FuturePlans

Basedonthestrengthsandweaknessesofmyteachingwork,Ihavesetthefollowinggoalsandplansforthenextacademicyear:

Todiversifymyteachingmaterialsandmethods,byincorporatingmoreauthenticandengagingresourcessuchasnewsarticles,podcasts,andsocialmedia,andbyusingmoreinteractiveandinnovativetoolssuchasKahoot,Quizlet,andFlipgrid.

Tostrengthenmyformativeassessmentandfeedbacksystem,byprovidingmoretimelyandspecificfeedbacktostudents'learningprogressandchallenges,andbyinvolvingstudentsmoreactivelyinselfandpeerevaluationandreflection.

Tointensifymycooperationandcommunicationwithcolleaguesandparents,bysharingteachingresources,experiences,andideas,andbyseekingtheirfeedbackandadviceonmyteachingwork.

Toenhancemyprofessionaldevelopmentandinnovation,byattendingmoreworkshops,webinars,andconferencesonEnglishteaching,andbyincorporatingmoretechnologicalandpedagogicaladvancesintomypractice,suchasblendedlearning,gamification,andproject-basedlearning.
