Bothinternalandenvironmentalfactorscauseplantsenescence.Therefore,weshould
doitinseveralaspects.
First,weshouldusegermplasmsresistanttosenescencebyselectionofvarieties
andcultivarsresisttosenescencebecausemostplantshavetheirresistantvarietyor
cultivarwecanuse.
Second,moderntechnologyhaveprovidedusatoolforsenescence-delayed
transgenesandproducedsomestay-greenplantssuchastobacco,sorghum,soybean
andriceetc.Wecancontinuetoimprovethemfordelayingsenescence.
Third,Applicationofplantsubstancesforresistancetosenescenceisalso
availablesuchasutilizationofCTKs,BRs,polyamines,lAAsfordifferentplants.
