II.TeachingProcedures
1.Warm-up(5minutes)
Greetthestudentsandaskthemabouttheirfavoriteoutdooractivities.
Showpicturesofcleananddirtycityparksandaskstudentstodescribethedifferences.
Introducethetopicofcleaningupthecityparksandtheimportanceofkeepingtheenvironmentclean.
2.VocabularyBuilding(10minutes)
Presentthenewvocabularywordsrelatedtocleaningupthecityparksusingflashcards.
Modelthepronunciationandprovideexplanationsorexamplesforeachword.
Engagestudentsinactivitiessuchasmatchingthewordswiththeirmeaningsorusingtheminsentences.
3.ListeningComprehension(15minutes)
Playtheaudiorecordingofthedialogin1aandaskstudentstolistencarefully.
Havestudentsanswerthequestionsin1bbasedontheinformationinthedialog.
Playtheaudioagainifneededandchecktheanswersasaclass.
4.SpeakingPractice(15minutes)
Pairstudentsupandhavethemrole-playthedialogin1a.
Encouragethemtousethevocabularywordslearnedearlier.
Walkaroundtheclassroomtomonitortheirconversationsandprovidefeedback.
5.GroupDiscussion(10minutes)
Dividetheclassintosmallgroupsandgiveeachgroupadifferentdiscussionquestionrelatedtocleaningupthecityparks.
Havestudentsdiscusstheiropinionsandideaswithintheirgroups.
Afterafewminutes,askeachgrouptosharetheirdiscussionhighlightswiththewholeclass.
6.ReadingComprehension(15minutes)
Instructstudentstoreadthepassagein2asilentlyandanswerthequestionsindividually.
Encouragethemtounderlineanyunfamiliarwordsandtrytounderstandtheirmeaningthroughcontext.
Reviewtheanswersasaclass,addressinganydifficultiesormisunderstandings.

Distributetheworksheetswiththeinstructionsforfillingouttheschedulein2b.
Havestudentsreadthescheduleandwritethenamesoftheactivitiesinthecorrecttimeslots.

8.PairWork(10minutes)
Askthestudentstoworkinpairsandcreateasimilarschedulefortheirowndailyactivities.
