一、準備作文的前提是了解自己，找準方向，集中突破。

每位G友專業(yè)背景、準備時間與英語基礎(chǔ)各不一樣，在作文中面臨的問題當然也不一樣：有些是語言和思想都很出色，有些是有思想但表達不出來，有些是英語好但思路打不開……一個作文小組只有幾個人或者十幾個人，就能夠看出這些差別來，用一種統(tǒng)一的方法來進行準備，未必對每個人都意味著高效率。在互助的時候也要注意對方最需要提高的是哪個方面，不必面面俱到。

二、避免低效率低水平的重復(fù)勞動。

很多G友干勁十足，一天一篇issue或者argument，但如果基本問題不解決而沉溺于題海戰(zhàn)術(shù)中，往往是事倍功半。在網(wǎng)上下圍棋，經(jīng)常會看到有棋友下了幾千盤甚至上萬盤(如果一天3盤那就是將近10年)仍然是入門級的水平，足見得忽視基礎(chǔ)的樓房建不高。即使G友幫助你修改得很好，但你并不能透徹了解自己語法或者思維方式錯誤的根源在哪里，那就只能寄希望于把每一篇改過的都背下來然后在考試時碰上。如果記得不牢或者根本沒碰上，問題就大了。我喜歡實踐-理論-實踐這種螺旋式的進步方法，先找到問題，然后有針對性地進行系統(tǒng)性的學習，打好基礎(chǔ);感覺有提高了再來實踐，再發(fā)現(xiàn)問題再提高。

三、重點準備提綱，選擇性地練習實戰(zhàn)寫作。

這一點是承接第二點的。題海戰(zhàn)術(shù)有兩個問題：一是沒有解決根本問題，二是機會成本過高。所謂機會成本，就是你花的時間過多，而這些時間本來可以用來做更有意義的事情，比如說記單詞，學習語法或者看書開拓思路。設(shè)想你英文很差，但你寫作很努力，在考試時又碰上了寫過的題目，你的作文得了5分以上，但verbal只有300多分，人家一眼就能看出你的真實水平來。所以我覺得在打基礎(chǔ)的同時，要把重點放在提綱也就是思路的準備上。Argument也許用不著每個都準備提綱，但issue最好是能每一篇都仔細想一想大概怎么寫。試想一下，如果你在考試時面對題目，最可能使你心慌的是什么?那可能就是這道題沒見過，不知從哪下手;如果你想過了，即使你沒寫過，你也不會太緊張。我備考時只寫了兩篇issue和兩篇argument，時間主要花在熟悉題目上，argument看得少一些，issue看了一半左右，有點輕敵了，如果全看的話就會更沉著。考試時issue題中一道是具體題，關(guān)于小孩教育的問題;另一道是抽象題，關(guān)于藝術(shù)家與評論家哪個給人們帶來永恒價值的問題。第一道題比較好展開，但我沒有準備，全憑臨場發(fā)揮;第二道題腦子里有輪廓，但是沒寫過。躊躇了足足三分鐘，我選擇了第二道題。從結(jié)果來看，我的選擇是完全正確的。雖然具體的題目好寫，但要在如此短時間內(nèi)組織得很漂亮，還是有難度的，如果中途稍有阻滯，情緒就會大受影響。作文互助小組是否也能把提綱準備當成首要問題?大家相互討論和啟發(fā)，把問題搞透。
