Thehero,calledOliver,isaorphanwhowasbroughtupbySheliawholivedinhospice.Oliverwasregardedasabastard,whichresultedlotsofdiscrimination.HewasborninEngland---inaveryoldorphanageandwhenhewasababy,hismotherwasdead.Inthefosterhome,hewasonbehalfofchildrentoaskformoreporridge,whichconsideredasakindrudeandimpolitebehavior.Hewasconfinedforseveraldaysandcameacrossanothersuffering.
