寓言早在我國(guó)春秋戰(zhàn)國(guó)時(shí)代就已經(jīng)盛行。當(dāng)時(shí)一些思想家把寓言當(dāng)成辯論的手段。為了在政治主張上戰(zhàn)勝對(duì)方,為了闡明自已的觀點(diǎn),互相責(zé)難,辯論,往往取材于古代神話、傳說(shuō)、民間故事或諺語(yǔ)。通過(guò)藝術(shù)加工,用鮮明生動(dòng)的抽象的代替議論進(jìn)行激烈的爭(zhēng)辨斗爭(zhēng)。世界各國(guó)的寓言作品也很多。世界最早的寓言集是《伊索寓言》,其它比較著名的寓言集或寓言較集中的作品有《克雷洛夫寓言》、《列那狐的故事》《百喻經(jīng)》《拉封丹寓言》等。
