Learningaforeignlanguagewasoneofthemostdifficultyetmostrewarding

experiencesofmylife.Althoughalanguagewasfrustrating,itwaswellworth

theeffort.學(xué)習(xí)外語(yǔ)是我一生中最艱苦也是最有意義的經(jīng)歷。雖然時(shí)常遭遇挫折，但

oftenpraisedallofthestudents.Becauseofthispositivemethod,Ieagerly

answeredallthequestionIcould,neverworryingmuchaboutmakingmistakes.

Iwasatthetopofmyclassfortwoyears.我學(xué)外語(yǔ)的經(jīng)歷始于初中的第一堂英語(yǔ)

課。老師很慈祥耐心，時(shí)常表?yè)P(yáng)學(xué)生。由于這種積極的教學(xué)方法，我踴躍回答各種問(wèn)

題，從不怕答錯(cuò)。兩年中，我的成績(jī)一直名列前茅。

WhenIwenttoseniormiddleschool,Iwaseagertocontinuestudying

English;however,myexperienceinseniormiddleschoolwasverydifferent

frombefore.Whilemyformerteacherhadbeenpatientwithallofthestudents,

myteacherquicklypunishedthosewhogaveincorrectanswers.Whenweanswered

incorrectly,shepointedalongstickatusand,shakingitupanddown,

shouted,"NO!noIno!itdidn'ttakemelongtolosemyeagernesstoanswer

questions.NotonlydidIlosemyjoyinansweringquestions,butIalsolost

mydesiretosayanythingatallinEnglish.到了高中后，我渴望繼續(xù)學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)，

然而高中時(shí)的經(jīng)歷與以前大不相同。以前老師對(duì)所有的學(xué)生都很耐心，而新老師則總是

studentswererequiredtotakeanEnglishcourse.Unlikemyseniormiddle

schoolteacher,mycollegeEnglishteacherswerepatientandkind,andnoneof

themcarriedlong,pointedsticks!Thesituationwasfarfromperfect,though.

Asourclasseswereverylarge,Iwasonlyabletoansweracoupleof

questionsineachclassperiod.Also,afterafewweeksofclasses,Inoticed

thereweremanystudentswhospokemuchbetterthanIdid.Ibegantofeel

intimidated.So,onceagain,althoughfordifferentreasons,Iwasafraidto

speak.ItseemedmyEnglishwasgoingtostayatthesamelevelforever.

英語(yǔ)說(shuō)得比我要好得多。我開(kāi)始產(chǎn)生一種畏懼感。雖然情況與高中時(shí)不同，但我卻又一

次不敢開(kāi)口了?？磥?lái)我的英語(yǔ)水平要永遠(yuǎn)停步不前了。

mediumwasacomputer,aphoneline,andamodem.Isoongotaccesstothe

necessaryequipment,learnedhowtousethetechnologyfromafriendand

要學(xué)習(xí)者專一、自制，以跟上課程進(jìn)度。我盡力達(dá)到課程的最低限度的要求，并按時(shí)完

成作業(yè)。

intimidatedbystudentswhospokefasterthanIdidbecauseItookallthe

timeIneedtothinkoutmyideasandwroteareplybeforepostingitonthe

screen.Then,onedayIrealized1couldunderstandjustabouteverythingI

cameacross,andmostimportantly,Icould“say"anythingIwantedtoin

English.AlthoughIwasstillmakingmanymistakesandwascontinually

learningnewwaystosaythings,Ihadfinallyreapedthebenefitsofallof

myhardwork.我隨時(shí)隨地都在學(xué)習(xí)。不管去哪里，我都隨身攜帶一本袖珍字典和筆記

wonderfulresultofhavinglearnedaforeignlanguagewasthatIcould

communicatewithmanymorepeoplethanbefore.Talkingwithpeopleisoneof

myfavoriteactivties,sobeingabletospeakanewlanguageletsmemeetnew

people,participateinconversations,andfromnew,unforgettablefriendships.

Nowthatispeakaforeignlanguage,insteadofstaringintospacewhen

englishisbeingspoken,icanparticipateandmakefriends,iamableto

reachouttoothersandbridgethegapbetweenmylanguageandcultureand

theirs.學(xué)習(xí)外語(yǔ)對(duì)我來(lái)說(shuō)是非常艱辛的經(jīng)歷，但卻是一種無(wú)比珍貴的經(jīng)歷。它不僅使

我懂得了艱苦努力的意義，而且使我認(rèn)識(shí)了不同的文化，讓我以一種全新的思維去看待事

物。學(xué)習(xí)一門外語(yǔ)最令人興奮的收獲是我能與比以前更多的人交流。我樂(lè)于與人交談，

新的語(yǔ)言使我能與以前不認(rèn)識(shí)的人交往，參與他們的談話，并建立新的難以忘懷的友誼。

現(xiàn)在我已能夠說(shuō)外語(yǔ)，別人講英語(yǔ)時(shí)我不再茫然不解了。我能夠參與并結(jié)交朋友。我能

與人交流，并能夠彌合我所說(shuō)的語(yǔ)言和所處的文化與他們的語(yǔ)言和文化之間的鴻溝。
