這里it是形式主語，真正的主語是toanswer。impossible通常不以人作主語，而以不定式或從句作主語Itis+adj+for/ofsb+todosthItis+adj+that+句子

如果形容詞能夠修飾后面的人的性格特征就用of。對他來說幫助你是不可能的Itisimpossibleforhimtohelpyou.=Itisimpossiblethathewillhelpyou.

2.Mydentisthadjustpulledoutoneofmyteethandhadtoldmetorestforawhile.

我的牙科醫(yī)生剛剛給我拔掉了一顆牙，叫我休息一會兒。

pull做動詞是表示“拖、拉、拔”的意思。與之相反的動作就是push了，表示“推”。我們經(jīng)常在門把手上看到這兩個詞，如果寫著pull，就表示你拉門就開了。如果寫著push，就表示推門門就開了。

課文這里pullout表示“拔出”的意思。

補(bǔ)充：pullone'sleg是表示“開玩笑”。

引體向上就是“pullup”。

Match做名詞就是“火柴”?，F(xiàn)在我們都用各種各樣的“l(fā)ighter”（打火機(jī)）了。此外做名詞更有“比賽、競賽”的含義。

Match做動詞一個很重要的含義就是“相配、相稱”的意思。

在這句話中，以how和whether引導(dǎo)的從句都是作動詞asked的賓語。

inanswerto是固定短語，這里表示“作為對...的回答”。這個短語的另一個含義是“響應(yīng)...的請求”：
