a.TraininginNationalContextTheNationalTrainingFrameworkismadeupofinformationfromanumberofsources,bothgovernmentandthenetworkoforganizations,gearedtowardshelpingorganizationsandindividualstodevelop.InScotland,theScottishExecutiveidentifieskeyprioritiesforachievingbusinessdevelopment.TrainingNationalContextincludesanyagents:ScottishEnterprise/LocalEnterpriseCompaniesTheScottishEnterpriseNetworkiscentraltothedeliveryoftheScottishExecutivevisionfora‘SmartSuccessfulScotland'.OneofthekeyaimsfortheEnterpriseNetworksistoenableScotlandtobecomeanationwherecreatinglearningandconnectingfasteristhebasisforsustainedproductivitygrowth,competitivenessandprosperity.OneofthekeythemesfortheEnterpriseNetworkislearningandskillsandthetargetunderthisheadingis‘EveryScotreadyfortomorrow'sjob'.Toachievethis,thenetworksplaykeyrolesinmeetingnationaltargetsfortrainingandareresponsibleforthedeliveryofsomenationtrainingschemes.ScottishEnterpriseisScotland'smaineconomicdevelopmentagency.TheScottishExecutivefundstheagency.ScottishEnterpriseconsistsofScottishEnterpriseand12LocalEnterpriseCompaniescoveringspecialgeographicalareas.ScottishEnterprisemayprovidefundingforlocalinitiativesaimedatachievingthegovernment'snationaltargetsforeducationandtraining.Manyoftheseinitiativesmightinclude:InvestorsinpeopleModernapprenticeshipsNationalvocationalqualificationsScottishEnterpriseworksinpartnershipwithcompaniesindividualsanduniversities,colleges,localauthoritiesandotherpublicsectorbodiestoachievethesegoals.LearndirectScotlandAnotherkeyagencyforachievingtheScottishExecutive'svisionofasmart,successfulScotlandisLearndirectScotland.Thisagencyoffersadvicestobothindividualsandemployerstohelpthemaccessthetrainingtheyneed.SectorSkillsCouncilsUK-wide,independentorganizations,SectorSkillsCouncilsaredevelopsbygroupsofinfluentialemployerindustryorbusinesssectorsofeconomicofstrategicsignificance.Employer-ledandactivelyinvolvetradeunions,professionalbodiesandotherstakeholdersinthesector,SSCsarelicensedbytheSecretaryofStateforEducationandSkill,inconsultationwithgovernmentministersinScotland,WalesandNorthernIreland.TheirroleistotackletheskillsandproductivityneedsofrelevantsectorsthroughouttheUK.TheaimsofSSCsarereduceskillsgapsshortages;improvingproductivity,businessandpublicserviceperformance;increaseopportunitiestoboosttheskillsandproductivityofeveryoneinthesector'sworkforceincludingactiononequalopportunities;improvinglearningsupply,includingapprenticeships,highereducationandnationaloccupationalstandards.b.TraininginNationalContextoperatessomeinitiatives:InvestorsinPeopleTheInvestorsinPeoplesStandardssetsoutalevelofgoodpracticeforthetraininganddevelopmentofpeopletoachievebusinessgoals.Itprovidesanationalframeworkforimprovingbusinessperformanceandcompetitiveness.OrganizationworkingtowardstheStandardmustshowaplannedapproachtosettingandcommunicatingbusinessobjectivesanddevelopingpeopletomeettheseobjectives.TheInvestorsinPeoplesStandardsisbasedonfourkeyprinciples:Commitment:toinvestinpeopletoachievebusinessgoalsPlanning:howskill,individualsandteamsaretobedevelopedtoachievethesegoalsAction:takingactiontodevelopandusenecessaryskillinwelldefinedandcontinuingprogrammedirectlytiedtobusinessobjectivesEvaluation:outcomesoftraininganddevelopmentforindividualsprogresstowardsgoals,thevalueachievedandfutureneeds.Beingrecognizedasan‘InvestorinPeople'involvesanumberofstep:Understandingthestandardanditsstrategicimplicationsforyourorganization.Undertakingareviewagainstthestandardtoidentifyanygapsincurrentpractice.Makingthecommitmenttomeetthestandardandcommunicatingthatcommitmenttoallmembersofstaff.Planningandtakingactiontobringaboutchange.Bringtogethertheevidenceforassessmentagainstthestandard.Achievementorrecognitionasaninvestorinpeople.GetReadyforWorkGetReadyforWorksupportsyoungpeopletomoveintoajob,furthertrainingorcollege,byhelpingthemfocusonwhattheywanttodo.Participantlearnnewskillsandgettheconfidencetheyneedtoprogress.Peopletakingpartintheprogrammegetthechancetotryout‘worktasters'andworkplacements-helpingthemdecideonthejobthat'sbestforthem.GetReadyforWorkhelpsyoungpeopleidentifytheirindividualneedsandsoffertraininginanumberofskills.ModernApprenticeshipsModernApprenticeshipsofferpeopleagedover16thechanceofpaidemploymentlinkedwiththeopportunitytotrainforjobsatcraft,technicianandmanagementlevel.Theyareanexcitingwayforpeopletogainskillsandqualificationthatwillhelptostartacareerwithouthavingtostudyfull-time,andareavailablenowacrossawiderangeofindustries.ModernApprenticesdevelopexpertiseandknowledgethroughon-the-jobassessmentaswellascanalsogainvitalskillsinareassuchasteamworkandproblemsolving.TwooftheinitiativeusefulnessforAGBellLtdInvestorinPeopleishasbenefitsforAGBellLtd,hasfourkeyprinciples:commitment、planning、action、evaluation.ThisisaveryimportantprojectforBell.First,companygiveapromisetoemployeecanachievebusinessgoals,thenplanninghowskill,individualandteamsaretobedevelopmentachievingthesegoals.Givestaffconfidencetogetreadyfortheproject.Afterallofthese,companycantakeactiontoachie
