The US science website LiveS recently published a special report, singling out the 10 deadliest from a hu

2、ge pool of entrants. The final list came from a survey of several hundred of the worlds leading scientists. So, lets have a look at the worlds deadliest:10 Poison Dart Frog Warning: This small, colourful frog isnt for kissing! It lives in the rain forests of South America and has a poisonous body fl

3、uid on its back. The frog produces enough of its toxin to kill up to 10 humans! Poison dart frogs got their names because South American Indians used their poison to make poisonous darts for hunting.9 Cape Buffalo Dont even think about playing with this African cow! When faced with a predator, a cap

4、e buffalos charges head on. Thats 680 kilograms of beast with two big, sharp horns. Youre lucky if theres only one the real danger comes when a herd of a hundred stampedes in your direction.8 Polar Bear Oh, sure, they look gentle and lovely lounging around at the zoo, but in the wild they are not! J

5、ust remember this: they eat elephant seals for breakfast. And dont ever try this: Get between a polar bear and its cub ?the bear could easily rip off your head with one hit of its giant paw.7 Elephant No joke: dont be fooled by those friendly images of well-trained elephants at the circus or in the

6、movies. Elephants kill more than 500 people a year worldwide. African elephants generally weigh in at around 7,200 kilograms: thats enough to smash you to pieces. Oh, one thing we forgot to mention: the sharp tusks.6 Australian Saltwater Crocodile Dont mistake this crocodile for a log! The Australia

7、n saltwater crocodile will lie still in the water, waiting for a passer by. Then, in the blink of an eye, it will jump at its prey, pulling it under the water to drown and dismember. Next time you cross a river in Australia, watch out for the logs.5 African Lion Lion King returns! He has everything

8、that a dangerous killer should have. Giant fangs? Check. Lightning quickness? That too. Razor sharp claws? You bet. These big cats are near perfect hunters. You better hope you dont encounter one when hes hungry.4 Great White Shark No need to mention the scary movie made by American director Steven

Blood in the water can excite these sharks into a feeding craze, where theyll use all 3,000 of their teeth to bite anything that moves3 Australian Box Jellyfish Also known as the sea wasp, this salad-bowl sized jellyfish can have up to 60 tentacles each 15 feet long. Each tentacle has 5,0

10、00 stinging cells and enough toxin to kill 60 humans, according to scientificial researches.2 Asian CobraWhile the Asian Cobra doesnt hold the title of most venomous snake, it does the most with what it has. Of the 50,000 deaths by snakebite a year, Asian Cobras are responsible for the largest chunk. And, now, the top killer award goes to the:1 Mosquito The what?
