3、 不能加-s,當它們后面接of時,它們必須加-s.不管哪種情況，它們都是直接接名詞，名詞前不能有限定詞。但是，如果 hundred, thousand 和million 前面有 many和several等不確定的數修飾時，該如何表達 呢？通過上面三題的參考答案，我們可以得出這么一個結論：many是個概數，可以組成 many(hundreds,thousands, millions)of + 名詞復數；several 相當于一個具體的數字，組成 several(hundred, thousand,million)+ 名詞復數。然而，筆者查閱了大量資料，似乎又不是這樣。關于它們的用法，有的甚至截然

4、相反。第一種說法： (牛津高級英漢詞典)P864hundred 的用法之一：說 a, one, two,several,etc.hundred時，hundred 后面不加-s;若前面沒有數目或數量，可用 hundreds(of , )。Hundred或hundreds均用復數動詞”。這里它把several看成了具體數詞。上面第二題選C可能就是這么來的。第二種說法:(英語基礎詞匯用法詳解詞典)P836“下面兩個短語都有幾百人的意思：several hundred of people; several hundreds of people ”照這種說法，上面第二題似乎應該選A才對。第三種說法：(大
