2、beautiful clothes, dont make up; But in west countries, people dress according their visiting places, in daily times, they often wear casual clothes, but if they go to a formal places ,they often wear suits, ladies wearing beautiful dresses, pretty hats. No matter how old the ladies are, they always
3、 make up. Architecture Unlike China , Western architecture often change , the evolution of its structure and material was more intense . Difference in cultural values Since human capital building close ties with its enormous power of artistic expression and its relationship with the corresponding hu
4、man culture and a deep relationship between human cultural and embodies the ideas . In short , the ancient Chinese architecture has always been based on the throne as the core of this world , permeated with the ethical WEDDING THE WEDDING DRESS It is thought unlucky for the bride to make her own wed
5、ding dress. It is also unlucky for the groom to see the bride in her wedding dress before until she arrives at the ceremony. The bride should not wear her entire outfit before the wedding day. Some brides leave a final stitch on the dress undone until it is time to leave for the ceremony when the ou
6、tfit is completed. THE BRIDE Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue Something old must be something that has belonged to a happily married woman to ensure the transfer of happiness. Something new is normally the gown or shoes. Something borrowed should be gold to ensure fut
7、ure wealth and fortune. Something blue, symbolizes modesty, fidelity, and love. Bridesmaids Bridesmaids were dressed in a similar way to the bride for the same reason as the origin of veil. The bridesmaids were thought to act as decoys to confuse evil spirits and thus protect the bride. BOUQUET Afte
8、r the reception the bride throws her bouquet back over her shoulder where the unmarried female guest group together. Tradition holds that the one who catches the bouquet will be the next one of those present to marry. A parallel custom is for the groom to remove the garter worn by the bride and thro
9、w it back over his shoulder toward the unmarried male guests. Again the one who catches it will be the next to marry. 10、ep her in sickness and in health, and forsaking all others ,be true to her as long as your both shall live? 1.When helping a woman pull her chair to the table, hold it and guide it. Dont shove it against the back of her legs. 2.If youre seated at a table with eight or fewer guests, wait for everyone
11、 to be served and for the hostess to begin eating before you dig in. At a long banquet table, its OK to start when several people are seated and served. 3.All things not having to do with food should remain off the table: keys, clutch bags, cigarette packs, sunglasses, phones. 4.Dont snap your napki
12、n open or unfurl it showily like its an Olympic flag. 5.If you prefer not to have wine while dining out, dont turn your glass upside down, and dont make a big deal of saying you dont drink. Simply place your fingertips on the rim of the glass and say Not today, thanks. 6.If youre eating and want to
13、take a sip, dab your mouth wi th your napkin to avoid staining the rim of the glass. 7.Grabbing a bowl of salad or a saltshaker as its being passe d to someone who asked for it is the equivalent of cutting in line: greedy and rude. 8.On the subject of passing: Dishes go counterclockwise, bu t if som
14、eone to your left asks for something, you can hand it directly to him. 9.When you excuse yourself to go to the restroom, just say Please excuse me. 10.When out with friends or family - even at a fancy restaurant - its OK to ask for your leftovers to be wrapped. But dont do it at a business lunch or
15、dinner. FESTIVALS Thanksgiving Thanksgiving is a very important cultural festival in the United States. It takes place on the last Thursday of November and its purpose, as its name suggests, is to give thanks for all that we have. The Mayflower pilgrims held the very first Thanksgiving. After having
