2、e also seen some kinds of inversion during the lessons. now its the time for them to learn the usage of inversion systematically so that they can make their articles more vivid and beautiful, also they can get a full comprehension of some texts where inversion is used while reading.iianalysis of the

3、 teaching material (教材分析)this grammar part appears in exam question (安徽省學(xué)業(yè)水平測(cè)試題), p105. after reading some passages, the students get to know some different expressions in the conversations where inversion is used, which make their language full of feelings. it needs students ability to analyze the

4、meanings of the sentences according to the context, the structures of sentences and the agreement.by explaining important points often appear in reading texts and tested in exams, students can learn the methods to analyze the sentences including inversion structures well and solve the problems in “c

10、odal verbsstep explanation and summary1. the two types of inversion(1) partly inversion(部分倒裝): 助動(dòng)詞/情態(tài)動(dòng)詞/系動(dòng)詞+主語+謂語動(dòng)詞e.g. never have i heard such a thing.(2) complete inversion(全部倒裝): 謂語動(dòng)詞+主語e.g. down fell the rain2. the situations where there is a need of inversion:1) adverbial expressions of negatio

11、n or near negation with no, not, never, neither, seldom, scarcely, rarely, barely and hardly, etc. (以否定詞或半否定詞開頭的句子通常用部分倒裝)e.g. in no case can an exception be made.never have i seen such a stupid personi cannot attend the meeting tonight, and neither can my wife.the same reversal of word order takes

12、place after negative conjunctions like neithernor, not only . but also, no sooner . than.(此種情況同樣適用于用否定連詞開頭的句子)e.g. not until he loses all his money will he stop gambling.scarcely had he entered the room when he was knocked down by a stranger.not only is she beautiful, but she is also very intelligen

13、t.2) adverbial expressions with only(only + 副詞/介詞短語等狀語/狀語從句放于句首時(shí),常用部分倒裝)e.g. only after an operation will he be able to walk again.only once has he done such a thing.3) adverbial expressions with so(由sosuch.that.引導(dǎo)的表示程度的狀語從句,將其放于句首表示強(qiáng)調(diào)時(shí),常用部分倒裝)e.g. so greatly did he admire the beautiful actress he a

14、sked her to marry him.the word order is also reversed after the conjunction so. e.g. i caught a cold, and so did my wife.4) in the conditions adverbial clauses led by if, when if is omitted. (在if虛擬條件從句中,if省略時(shí),had/ were/should等要與主語倒裝)e.g. should he be interested in this subject, he might work hard at

15、 it.= if he should be interested in this subject, he might work hard at it.5) adverbial expressions of place(以表示地點(diǎn)或時(shí)間的副詞如here, there, now, then, thus等開頭的句子常用全部倒裝)e.g. there stood the tallest man he had ever seen.inside the room were a few pieces of furniture.now comes your turn.but when the subject

16、is a pronoun instead of a noun, the order should not be inverted.e.g. here he comes./ off he ran.6) other adverbials in initial position(用其他表方位的副詞開頭,謂語常用動(dòng)詞有come,go,rush,等不及物動(dòng)詞,也用全部倒裝)e.g. loud and clear rang the bells.out rushed the students7) some other situationsa.由as/though引導(dǎo)的讓步狀語從句中,其基本句式為:形容詞/副

17、詞/名詞+as/though+主語+謂語動(dòng)詞原形+as/though+主語+情態(tài)動(dòng)詞/助動(dòng)詞e.g. child as/though he is, he knows a lot of english.=although/though he is a child, he knows a lot of english.old as they were, / hard as he tried, / try as i might, b.祝愿語e.g. may you succeed! / be happy!may peace return to the troubled land!long live

18、the peoples republic of china!3. the inversion structures often tested in nmet. 1). 否定詞位于句首時(shí)的倒裝, hardlywhen等. 2). so與neither, nor位于句首時(shí)的倒裝時(shí)的含義.3). only位于句首時(shí).4). as引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句時(shí)的句子倒裝。5). 非真實(shí)條件句中省略if連詞的倒裝結(jié)構(gòu) analyze the sentences with students together and let them know the rules according to the key elemen
