GenerativeArtificialIntelligence(GenAI)isanemergingandgroundbreakingareaof
ArtificialIntelligence(AI)thatcreatesandunderstandsqualitytext,images,audio,videos,

Generally,AIisaparadigm-shiftingideathatentailsthecreationofintelligentcomputers
capableofcarryingouttasksthatordinarilydemandhumanintelligence.AIincludesa
varietyoftechnologiesandmethodologies,likecomputervision,deeplearning,natural
languageprocessing,andmachinelearning.AIsystemsusedatatoidentifypatterns,
makechoices,andtakeactiontoreachpredeterminedobjectives.AI,includingtheGenAI,
canincreaseproductivity,accuracy,andefficiency,loweringcostsandimprovingcustomer
satisfaction.Virtualassistants,chatbots,recommendationsystems,andautonomous

andtrainaGenerativeAImodel.
Similarly,SalesforceVenturesannouncedexpandingitsGenerativeAIFundtoUSD500
million,upfromUSD250millioninMarch2023[2].Inarecentreportontheeconomic
potentialofGenAI,itismentionedthatGenAIcandeliveratotalvalueintherangeof
USD2.6trilliontoUSD4.4trillionineconomicbenefitsannuallywhenappliedacross
industries.Theyfurtheraddedthatitwouldadd15to40%totheUSD11.0trillionto
USD17.7trillionofeconomicvaluethattheynowestimatenongenerativeartificial
intelligenceandanalyticscouldunlock[3].Thegovernments,businesscommunity,and
eventhecreatorsofsuchGenAI-basedtoolswanttoestablishcollaborationtoformulate
abalancedregulatoryframework,standards,andprinciplestomanagethechallengesof
GenAItoolstoreapmaximumbenefitsfromthisnoveltechnology’simpactonproductivity
thatcouldaddhandsomefinancialvalue,intheformoftrillionsofdollars,tothedigital
economy[4][5],[3].

Wenotednumerouschallenges,includingethicalchallenges,likelackofdatasecurity,
accountability,transparency,digitalliteracy,andprivacyregardingGenAItoolsthatcould
riseinequality,increasecopyrightinfringements,embedbiasesintrainingdata,reduce
reliability,enhancediscrimination,andtoxicityofissues,lackofholisticregulatory
framework,inadequateNationalStrategyandPolicyforGenAItools,non-availabilityof
complete,andqualitydata.Weexplainsuchchallengesintheforthcomingsectionsof
thispaper.
Wealsoproposeasetofrecommendations,includingregulatory,andstrategy
recommendationsbasedontheinvestigationofliterature,throughSystematicLiterature
Reviewmethod,andinformalinteractionsoftheauthorswithindustryexperts.The
recommendationsthatinclude,butarenotlimitedtothefollowing:formulationofethical
guidelines,andframeworkforGenAItools,earlyAIadoptionbythebusinesscommunity,
includingretailandconsumerpackagedgoods(CPG)industry,health,andeducation,
andbankingsectorsinvariousareasforbetterimpactontheirbusinessfunctions,
formulationofnationalGenAIstrategy,incentivesforGenAIatlevelsfordevelopment,
testing,andadoptionofsuchtechnologiesbasedtools,createawareness,anddigital
literacyaboutGenAItoolstotacklemisconceptionaboutGenAImodels,developmentof
suitablestandards,andprinciplestosafeguardagainstsideeffectsofGenAItools.We

TheadventofArtificialIntelligence(AI)hasreformedthefashionbusinessesoperateinthe
digitaleconomyindifferentsignificantways,namely,automation&efficiency,data-driven
decision-making,customercare,intelligentvirtualassistants,processoptimization,
advancedfrauddetection&security,etc.AIisthemostfundamentaltransformative
emergingtechnology,andithasthepotentialtoaddressmostofthecriticalissueswe
face,likeclimatechangeandthedigitaldivide.
AI,includingGenAIarethesimulationofhumanintelligencebymachines,particularly
computersystemsusinghigh-levelalgorithms,toperformtasksthatwouldotherwise
requirehumanintelligence[7].

anareawithinthedisciplineofAIthat
empowersmachineswiththecapacityto
read,comprehendandextractmeaning
fromhumanlanguages.Themain
goalofNLPistofillthegapbetween
howhumanscommunicateandhow
computersunderstand.Someessential
researchtasksinNLPincludeautomatic
summarization,co-referenceresolution,
discourseanalysis,machinetranslation,
morphologicalsegmentation,namedentity
recognition,andpart-offspeechtagging.

amountofrawdatainaself-supervisedwaytodiscoverunderlyingpatternsforabroad
rangeofjobs.GenAI-basedsystems,likeChatGPT,generatevalidtext,likehuman-
generatedtext.
