2Thebesttoolfortheimprovementofallthesefunctions,

undoubtedly,istheartificialEarthsatellite.Circlingtheglobeatahigh

altitude,itcanscreenwideareasoflandwithinashorttime;itcan

observeandmeasurealargevarietyoffactorsindicatingthestatusand

conditionofcrops,soil,droughts,rainfall,snowcover,etc.,and

itcanradiothisinformationtogroundstationsforappropriateuse.

3Thedistributionofthefoodtotheneedyisacompletelydifferent

problem.Efficientrelieffromhunger,Iamafraid,willnotcomebefore

thewatersoftheBahamasinthesubmersible(潛水器)DeepDiver

whileshewasfourmonthspregnant!TheseshockingeffortsofEarlefor

In1979,shebecamethefirstwomantowalktheoceanfloor381meters

belowthesurface.Wearingaspecializeddivingsuit,shewasabletowalk
