study.

Prof.Songandhisteamusedacombinationofliveexperimentswithanammoniaremoval

tankanddeeplearningtounderstandhowelectricfieldsofdifferentstrengthsinfluencethe

efficiencyofammoniaremovalfromwastewater.Theyfoundthatelectricfieldswithan

alternatingcurrentof50MHzandapowerof15V/cmsignificantlyimprovetheammonia

removalefficiency,increasingitfrom51%to94%,evenundersub-standardconditions.

Therefore,improvedammoniayieldscouldbeachievedwhileconsiderablyreducingthe

consumptionofenergyandchemicals.

Prof.Songcomments,4aOurfindingsshowedthatelectricfieldapplicationprovidesasimilar

efficiencyofammoniaremovaltoconventionalmethodsatamuchlowertemperature,airsupply,

andpH.Moreover,theenergyneededtopowertheelectricfieldisaminutepartoftheenergy
