false.Whatshewasreallytiredof,shesaid,wasacceptingunequaltreatment.
Sheexplainedlaterthatthisseemedtobetheplaceforhertostopbeing
pushedaroundandtofindoutwhathumanrightsshehad,ifany.
AgroupofblackactivistwomeninMontgomerywasknownastheWomen's
PoliticalCouncil.Thegroupwasworkingtoopposethemistreatmentofblack
buspassengers.Blackshadbeenarrestedandevenkilledforviolatingorders
frombusdrivers.RosaParkswasnotthefirstblackpersontorefusetogive
upaseatonthebusforawhiteperson.ButblackgroupsinMontgomery
