electronics,thebranchofsciencedealingwithelectricity.Thisdiscoverywaspatentedasthe

“EdisonEffect”.Withoutelectronics,wemightnothaveradio,TV,computers,orspacetravel.

picturecamera,thecopymachineandthemicrophone.

ThomasEdisondiedattheageofeighty-fourin1931.Threedayslater,manyAmerican
