Goodmorning,everyone.Mynameis[Name],andIamaprimaryschoolstudent.Today,IwanttosharewithyoumyjourneytolearningEnglishinprimaryschool.

IrememberwhenIfirststartedlearningEnglishinprimaryone,itfeltlikeawholenewworld.Atfirst,itwasdifficulttorememberallthenewwordsandgrammarrules,butmyteacherswerealwayspatientandencouraging,andIsoonstartedtoenjoylearningEnglish.

Inprimarytwo,westartedtohavesimpleconversationsinEnglish,andIfeltproudtobeabletocommunicatewithmyforeignfriends.WealsostartedtowatchEnglishcartoonsandsingEnglishsongs,whichhelpedustoimproveourlisteningandpronunciationskills.

AsIprogressedtoprimarythreeandfour,westartedtolearnmorecomplexgrammarrulesandvocabulary.WelearnedhowtowritesimpleessaysandhavemoremeaningfulconversationsinEnglish.IalsostartedtoreadEnglishbooks,whichimprovedmyreadingcomprehensionandexpandedmyvocabulary.

MyjourneytolearningEnglishinprimaryschoolhasnotalwaysbeensmoothsailing.ThereweretimeswhenIfeltfrustratedandoverwhelmedbytheamountofworkwehadtodo.However,myteachersandparentswerealwaystheretosupportmeandencouragemetokeeptrying.

Now,inprimaryfive,IfeelconfidentinmyEnglishabilities.IcancommunicatewithpeoplefromdifferentcountriesandunderstandEnglishbooksandmovies.LearningEnglishhasopenedupsomanyopportunitiesforme,andIamgratefulfortheeffortandsupportfrommyteachersandparents.

Inconclusion,learningEnglishinprimaryschoolhasbeenawonderfuljourneyforme.Ithasbeenchallengingattimes,butwithhardworkanddetermination,IhavebeenabletoimprovemyEnglishskillsandcommunicatewithpeoplefromallaroundtheworld.Thankyouforlisteningtomyspeech.AsIenteredprimarysix,Ifeltbothexcitedandnervous.Thiswasourfinalyearofprimaryschool,andwewereexpectedtohaveamoreadvancedunderstandingoftheEnglishlanguage.Wewouldbereadinglongertexts,writingmorecomplexessays,andparticipatingindebatesandpresentations.

Despitethepressure,IfeltconfidentinmyEnglishabilities.Myyearsofhardworkanddedicationhadpaidoff,andIwasexcitedtofacethesenewchallenges.MyEnglishteacher,Ms.Lee,wasverysupportiveandencouragedustothinkcreativelyandexpressourselvesfreelyinEnglish.Sheintroducedustodifferentwritingstylesandgenres,suchaspersuasivewritingandpoetry,whichhelpedustodevelopourwritingskillsandexpressourselvesmoreeffectively.

OneofthemostmemorableexperiencesofprimarysixwasourEnglishprojectonendangeredanimals.Wehadtoresearchandwriteareportonanendangeredanimalandcreateapresentationtosharewithourclassmates.Itwaschallenging,butalsoveryrewardingtolearnaboutdifferentanimalsandhowwecouldhelptoprotectthem.

Astheendoftheschoolyearapproached,wehadtoprepareforthePrimarySchoolLeavingExam(PSLE).Thisexamwoulddeterminewhichsecondaryschoolwewouldbeplacedin,andourEnglishresultswouldplayasignificantroleinouroverallscore.Needlesstosay,therewasalotofpressureonustodowell.

ButIwasconfidentinmyEnglishskills,andIknewthatmyyearsofhardworkwouldpayoffintheexam.Ipracticedmywritingandcomprehensionskillseveryday,readbooksandnewspapersinEnglish,andwatchedEnglishshowsandmoviestoimprovemylisteningskills.Ialsoaskedmyteachersforfeedbackonmywork,sothatIcouldimprovemyweakareas.

Finally,thedayoftheexamarrived.Iwasnervousbutprepared,andIfeltthattheexamwentwell.Whentheresultswerereleased,IwasoverjoyedtofindoutthatIhadscoredanAinEnglish.Iwasoneofthetopstudentsinmycohort,andmyhardworkhadpaidoff.

LookingbackonmyjourneytolearningEnglishinprimaryschool,Ifeelgratefulfortheexperience.LearningEnglishhasopenedupsomanydoorsforme,bothacademicallyandpersonally.Ihavemadefriendsfromdifferentcountries,traveledtodifferentplaces,andexpandedmyknowledgebeyondmycultureandlanguage.

ToanyonewhoisstrugglingwithlearningEnglish,myadvicewouldbetonevergiveup.Learninganewlanguagetakestimeandeffort,buttherewardsareworthit.SurroundyourselfwithEnglish-speakingenvironmentsandpracticespeaking,reading,writing,andlisteningeveryday.Mostimportantly,don'tbeafraidtomakemistakes.Learningfromyourmistakesispartoftheprocess.
