2、應(yīng)讓學(xué)生了解目的語(yǔ)國(guó)家的文化背景,所以該課程也是作為他們深化英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言基礎(chǔ)和提高 交流能力的重要部分。通過(guò)對(duì)本課程教學(xué),開(kāi)闊學(xué)生的視野,擴(kuò)大知識(shí)面,彌補(bǔ)文化背景知識(shí)的不足,培養(yǎng)學(xué) 生具有一定的創(chuàng)新思維能力、科學(xué)的工作方法以及解決問(wèn)題的能力,為大學(xué)階段的外語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí) 和以后的英語(yǔ)教學(xué)工作打下良好的基礎(chǔ)。在知識(shí)方面,使學(xué)生對(duì)英美兩國(guó)的地理風(fēng)貌、重大歷史事件、重要?dú)v史文件、政體制度、 教育制度、家庭生活、風(fēng)俗習(xí)慣、價(jià)值觀(guān)念等有一個(gè)較系統(tǒng)和清楚的了解,使語(yǔ)言教學(xué)與文 化知識(shí)緊密結(jié)合,提高學(xué)生跨文化交際能力及文化思考力。在素質(zhì)方面,提高學(xué)生自身的文 化修養(yǎng)、專(zhuān)業(yè)素養(yǎng),在提高學(xué)生文化意識(shí)的基礎(chǔ)上,提高學(xué)生的文化
