(began) 開始e.g. Ill begin whenever youre ready. 你什么時候準備好我就開始。常用的句型: begintodo與begindoing一般來說,begin to do和begin doing可以互換,但在以下三種情況下,用to do。 I. 主語不是指人,而是it等。如:It began to rain. II. begin后接表示心理活動的詞。如:begin to know還有believe, wonder, think等詞。 III. begin本身是ing形式,為避免重復后接to do。 即:beginning to do2) heavily adv. 在很大程度上;大量地e.g. moving heavily 吃力地移動 It was raining heavily. 雨下得很大。3. So, when the rainstorm suddenly came, suddenly adv. 突然;忽然e.g. I suddenly remembered that I hadnt locked the door. 我忽然想起沒有鎖門。4. Thats strange. strange adj. 奇特的,奇怪的;不可思議的e.g. a strange noise 奇怪的聲音 Hes always here; its strange youve never met him. 他經(jīng)常在這,你卻沒有見過他,真是不可思議。5. I called at seven and you didnt pick up. pick up(=pick up the phone) 接電話 pick up 還有以下含義:1) 拾起;抱起 e.g. Thechildrenpickedupmanyseashellsattheseashore.孩子們在海邊撿到許多貝殼。 Pickthatbookup. 把那本書揀起來。2) 搭載 e.g. Thecarstoppedtopickmeup.汽車停下來接我。Step 7 Speaking Make a survey. Ask your partners in your group what they were doing at the following time.
