I often go to the movies. 2.Ability Objects: Writing and listening skills; Communicative competence. 3.Moral Object: Keep a diary every day in English.二;教學重難點 1; Teaching Key Points watch TV , read a book , go shopping ,exercise.run。etc。 2; Teaching Difficulties (1)always , usually , often , sometimes , hardly ever , never ; (2.)What does she do on weekends? She often goes to the movies.三;教學工具 教學掛圖,錄音機教學過程Step I Greet the classT : Good morning, boys and girls.(S : Good morning.)T;Now please look at me;There are some pictures in my hands。Look!Whats the boy doing?(S;He is reading.)T:Ok.Do you like reading?(S:Yes,We do)T;Ask one student;What do you usually do in the morning? (S1;I read English,)T;ask again;How often do you read English?(help the student answer;every day,sometimes,always,twice a week.)Ok!Today well learn Unit2,The teacher write the topic “How often do you exercise?”on the blackboard.and explain”How often”to the Ss.Then lets begin to study the new words.Step II 1aFirst lets go on looking at the pictures . Ask a few students to say what they see in them. Each picture shows something a person does on weekends.For example; What”s the girl doing? She is running. How often does she run? Every moring.Repeat with the other pictures;Then let the Ss open their books, and look at the pictures on the book, Ask them to name each activity. Ask students to repeat each one. Then ask students to list all the activities in the pictures. If they dont know how to write the activities,the teacher can offer some help.Then ask the student who finishes first to write the answers on the blackboard.Check the answers and ask students to correct their own activities.Step III 1b Show six new words on the screenalways usually often sometimes hardly ever never總是 通常 經常 有時 幾乎不 從不Teach and read new words again . Read the new words to students. Ask them to repeat. Tell students these words are adverbs of frequency. Point to each scene in Activity 1a . Ask students to look at each picture and tell what the person does on weekends.Listen to the recording and write the letter of one activity (a through e ) after the word in the list.Then check the answers with the whole class.Step IV 1c PairworkDisplay a large calendar that shows the days of the week. Tell students Saturday and Sunday are the weekend. Ask students to repeat Weekend.Ask two students to read the example dialogue 。What do you usually do on weekends? I often go to the movies.Now work with a partner. Make your own conversations about the people in the picture. For example,Picture a : What does she do on weekends? She often goes shopping.Then have students work in pairs. Make their own converwations about the people in the picture. Then ask some pairs to present their conversations to the class.Picture b : What does she do on weekends? She often reads a book.Picture c : What does he usually do on weekends? He often exercises.Picture d : What does he usually do on weekends? He often watches TV.Picture e : What does she usually do on weekends? She often helps with housework.Step V Summary and HomeworkThis class weve learnt some names of activities.And we also learnt someadverbs of frequency.Now homework: write a weekend diary what you do on weekend. Ifnecessary.
